Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest Returns!
Update
We are disappointed to update this blog to let you know that due to recent Scottish Government safety restrictions, Toddler Fest is now postponed until a future date. We will be sure to let you know the new dates as soon as we can.
After a year’s hiatus due to a major gallery revamp, Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest returns to Camera Obscura & World of Illusions in January 2021, offering parents and carers a safe and secure environment for all those under-5s needing an outlet after a socially distant Christmas and New Year.
Toddler Fest will be running for 10 days, Monday to Friday over two weeks from 25th January - 5th February 2021. From 10am – 4pm (last entry 3pm) visitors and their toddlers can experience the attraction with additional sensory and interactive experiences specially created to delight those aged under 5. And for toddlers the event is free! Ticket prices remain the same as a standard visit, with under 5s going free of charge.
Activities include making puppets for the Colour Shadow Wall, creating music with a Piano Floor and Light Harp. Look on while little ones are mesmerised by reflections in bendy mirrors and animal mirrors and the opportunity to take part in our rainy-day duck trail on the rooftop. Get lost in fibre optics and be enchanted with the Infinity Forest. Many other light and tactile exhibits will have youngsters amazed and enthralled.
There is lots to do for the adults too, with interactive exhibits, photo opportunities - and seating located throughout the attraction. Parents are also welcome to bring their own snacks for their youngsters when visiting.
Lindsey Cotter, Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest Coordinator said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Toddler Fest back in 2021, giving parents and young children something fun to look forward to. The experience will provide a warm, safe, indoor environment to entertain and explore sensory learning with toddlers, all while having fun!”
A visit to Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest will include all the five-star attraction has to offer, with over 100 interactive exhibits to enjoy, suitable for all ages. Please note that at this time a demonstration of the Camera Obscura is unavailable due to safety restrictions.
Tickets are on sale now, book your prefered date and time here. Tickets make fantastic presents for the holidays. Pre-booking is recommended as numbers are limited in line with current government safety guidelines.
Camera Obscura & World of Illusions is VisitScotland 5-star rated and ‘Good to Go’ certified with a wide range of safety measures to protect visitors and staff, all in keeping with the Scottish Governments COVID-19 framework and advice. These include social distancing throughout with screens and floor markings where necessary, reduced capacity, online pre-booking, contactless payment where possible, timed entry, a new one-way system, signage, hand sanitiser stations throughout, increased ventilation, regular cleaning and sanitising of all touch points, antiviral ‘fogging’ overnight and of course lots of staff training on safety for themselves and visitors.
