A Unique Way to Tie the Knot this Valentine’s Day
This Valentine's Day, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions invites you to experience a truly unique attraction, AutoWed, offering lovebirds a whimsical yet memorable matrimonial experience. Perfectly timed for the romantic season and the February Half Term holidays, the AutoWed is one of only two such machines in the world, the other residing in the USA.
Created by the innovative Cornwall-based company Concept Shed, AutoWed first captured the public's imagination on the BBC TV show ‘Dragons' Den’. This novelty wedding vending machine delivers a fun, tongue-in-cheek ceremony at the push of a button. For a small fee, couples receive rings and a personalised, novelty wedding certificate, making it an unforgettable part of their love story.
"Our AutoWed is a blend of quirky charm and retro technology, wrapped in a Cadillac-pink cabinet that promises a wedding experience like no other," says Andrew Johnson, General Manager at Camera Obscura & World of Illusions. "It’s perfect for couples seeking something out of the ordinary to celebrate their union or renew their vows."

In addition to the AutoWed, this Half Term Holiday, visitors can explore over 100 interactive, hands-on exhibits that challenge the senses and dazzle the mind. From bewildering optical illusions to breathtaking views of Edinburgh from the Rooftop Terrace, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions offers a magical day out for families, couples, and visitors of all ages.
