Fantastic news! We're reopening 7 days a week on Monday 26 April 10am.
As a VisitScotland 5 star accredited, top 10 TripAdvisor rated attraction, we are really looking forward to welcoming you all back, giving UK residents the perfect opportunity to get out and have fun and make memories with friends and family. The site will be open 7 days a week until late, including until 9pm on Saturdays.
While the award-winning experience has been closed, the team have been using the opportunity to improve the building and exhibits, adding to the immersive and fun-filled encounters all ages can enjoy while visiting. Improvements include a refurbishment of the 5th floor Magic Gallery as well as getting up-close with our newest exhibits on the 4th floor in the Light Fantastic gallery.
At Camera Obscura safety comes first, closely followed by fun! The attraction is Good to Go certified with a wide range of safety measures in place to protect visitors and staff, all in-keeping with the Scottish Governments COVID-19 framework and advice. Camera Obscura & World of Illusions offers you the chance to experience and take part in over 100 mind-bending illusions as well as take a breath of fresh air on the magnificent Rooftop Terrace, which offers the most spectacular 360⁰ views of Edinburgh.

Camera Obscura & World of Illusions will be open from Monday 26 April 10am. Booking in advance online is recommended to get preferred entry date and time, however visitors can still purchase admission on entry.
